Custom Christmas Decor

Theme: Tree of Life

To bring the theme to life for our client, we leaned into handmade pieces and vintage Mexican folk art, weaving Tree of Life symbols throughout the décor of two 10-foot Christmas trees

The Tree of Life is a symbolic motif found across many cultures and religions, representing interconnectedness, growth, and the cyclical nature of existence. Often depicted with roots in the earth and branches reaching toward the heavens, it reflects the balance between the earthly and spiritual worlds, as well as humanity’s connection to ancestry and nature.

In Mexican folk art, Tree of Life imagery dates back many centuries, with clay sculptures traditionally decorated with birds, animals, flowers, and fruits, sometimes illustrating stories like the Garden of Eden or the Nativity. Birds frequently appear as symbols of creation, abundance, and divine presence.

In Mayan mythology, the Ceiba tree is considered the Tree of Life — a sacred tree believed to connect the earth to seven layers of heaven. Growing from the center of the world, its branches reach the highest heaven, where the Great God resides and where spirits find eternal rest.
